We are currently recruiting for a Sales / Purchase Ledger & General Accounts Assistant to join our team at our office located on Braconash Road, Leyland.

About the Role

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Controller, you will be expected to perform various duties including, invoice runs, mailing of invoices, dealing with general invoice enquiries, supplying POD’s, taking payments from both cash sale and sales ledger customers, posting and allocation of payments and reconciliation of accounts.

You will deal with queries from customers and will have the ability to communicate with external bodies and with other departments throughout our business.

As we are a small team, it will be necessary to provide support to other roles within the department, this will involve assistance as and when required with:

  • Balancing of tills
  • Cash sale banking
  • Purchase Ledger Support

About the Role

Experience

  • Purchase ledger: 3 years (required)
  • Accounts Payable: 3 years (required)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Mon – Thur:               07:30 – 17:00
Friday:                        07:30 – 16:00
Saturday:                   08:00 – 12:00

Hours shown are the companies trading hours, on occasions the position may call for work outside of these and will be paid.

  • 39 hours of work paid at single time
  • 9 hours of work paid at time and a half

Salary: £27,000.00 - £29,500.00 per year depending on experience.
