COVID-19 Update

As government advice is changing and the initial spread of COVID-19 seems to be under more control we have opened our premises for the restricted collection and delivery of products.


Collections

All customers are invited to book an appointment to collect materials by calling 01772 909 331. We will ask you which departments you wish to purchase from and allocate you a date and time slot. The numbers that we are allowing into our premises at any one time are restricted, to maintain a safe environment. Please note that our main gates are not open and our usual service of customers arriving when they wish is not currently available.

Our temporary entrance for this first phase of opening will be via Tomlinson Road and we ask that you come at your allocated time and not before. The temporary exit from our yard will be our gates on Braconash Road, adjacent to our Plumbing Department.

When You Arrive on Site

To help us comply with social distancing, we ask that you limit to 1 person per vehicle when entering the yard. Whilst on site please ensure that you comply with social distancing measures by keeping 2 metres apart from other customers and staff, abide by the queuing systems in operation and follow staff instructions. To protect our staff and customers, we have positioned screens at customer booking points, hand sanitiser is provided around the premises in all departments and we request that all customers bring an appropriate face covering (e.g. Facemask) for use should it be deemed appropriate.

Deliveries

We are currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for delivery orders placed via the phone, website or in person, whilst operating a limited delivery fleet to enable social distancing.

Please be assured that we are working very hard to adjust our business to the ever-changing circumstances to ensure that we serve our customers to the best of our ability whilst maintaining everyone’s safety.


Product Availability - Bagged Plaster

We are constantly monitoring the status of our suppliers and stock levels and are confident that we can maintain good supplies to our customers. However, one area of concern is bagged plaster which is only supplied by British Gypsum in the UK. The current commitment from British Gypsum to all their customers is that as they recommence production every customer will receive 20% of their average volume purchased between the 2nd January and 23rd March. The consequence is that the current market shortage of bagged plaster is not likely to be resolved for some weeks to come. We are in close contact with British Gypsum at a senior level and will update you as soon as we can comment further.


Our priority remains the health and well-being of our staff, customers and the wider community and we ask for your understanding whilst we refine these new restricted operations.
