Synthetic lawns are pet and child-friendly, allowing water to drain through. If mud is trodden on from other areas, you simply hose the lawn down. No more mowing, feeding or scarifying just a dense, soft lawn underfoot.
Fibre ‘blades’ are made nylon or polyester and it is intended to provide years of maintenance free life. This product won't fade or flatten. Sand is used during installation to add additional weight and keep the lawn in place. This sand also surrounds the blades supporting them to remain upright conserving the pile height.

To make the most of this product a 35mm base of compacted sharp sand will stop natural plants growing or rotting underneath which could cause the synthetic product to rise and become uneven. To maintain the surface height of the ground it would be necessary to remove the equivalent amount of topsoil before replacing with sand.
Due to the permeable properties of the product, after a deluge of rain, it will quickly drain and dry. The water simply drains through holes into the aggregate which forms the base below.
