Tired bungalow is given a new lease of life with a loft and ground-floor extension - built with materials from C&W Berry

We always love seeing what our customers are building with our materials - especially when that customer is one of our much-loved retirees.

Although Peter Jones’ last day at C&W Berry was around 6 months ago, he definitely hasn’t slowed down. He’s stepped away from his computer and picked up his demolition gear to turn this quaint bungalow into the perfect retirement pad for him, his wife, and 11 grandchildren.

We caught up with him last week to see what he’s been up to since he packed up his desk and started a very different kind of job.

One may think because I've worked at C&W Berry for 38 years I am totally biased and wouldn't buy materials anywhere else. Obviously they are very competitive and that's one of the main features. But I think also because of the expertise and the helpfulness they've shown in the design work, be it for the structural steel work, underfloor heating, insulation, things that are not my particular forte.

But whenever a query has cropped up, the advice has always been absolutely spot on and just helpful. And I think some of the tradesmen that have worked here have been a little bit surprised the way problems have been overcome so easily, just by getting on the phone and having a word with the staff who have been so helpful.
