Rock Salt (2)

Our rock salt is ideal for use on icy roads, driveways, pavements, paths and car parks with a low freezing point to lessen the effect of snow. Our naturally occurring de-icing salt is available in 20kg and full grab bags and provides the option for use as a strong weedkiller.

Halite rock salt can be mixed with sand to improve vehicle traction in slippery conditions and it will help to prevent ice forming, down to approximately 5°C, to allow safer navigation. Our brown rock salt is BS 3247:2011+A1:2016 compliant which specifies the essential properties of salt for spreading on highways for winter maintenance and includes tests for some of these properties.
