Intumescent Hinge Plates (1)

Intumescent hinge plates are used to maintain a fireproof seal in the tiny gaps of the door and they are supplied by Exitex, a leading manufacturer of weather-proofing, intumescent and acoustic products.

These plates are self-adhesive, preventing the need for additional products and are easy to install, creating a tight seal around the fire door. Two pads are required per hinge for a completely flush, safe finish and they are fitted underneath the leaves of the door hinges during installation. Our range of pads are suitable for both 30 and 60-minute fire doors, making them ideal for a safe home as they effectively protect the ironmongery installed on the fire door.
